April 30th

This week was an interesting week for our family.

David has been waiting on Walmart for three weeks now. They said they would hire him back, but needed time to find him a spot. They called back this week to tell him that they could not find a spot for him because he was a student and they have too many right now in every department. David is now waiting for another job to call him back this coming week after taking a drug test and waiting on the results. Hopefully he will get that job. It does not pay enough, but until he can find a job it is better than nothing. David has decided not to go to school this summer. He is hoping to work for KRADD doing surveying. This would give him some great job expereince.

Last week I celebrated my 36th bithday. I am getting so much closer to 40. I asked David if he felt like he was getting ready to be 40 and he said no too. I still feel so young. David made me a cake for my birthday with my favorite candy on it, Hershey's Hugs! He did so good. I put a picture in the last post of the cake.

Nicholas has continued to do really good in school. This was the first week that they did not have to go 30 minutes longer to make up snow days. He is going to play t-ball this summer. He has had two games already, but both have been canceled because of rain. Nicholas is also trying really hard to learn to ride his bike without training wheels, he is still working on this.

Nathan, who we now call, Monkey Boy, has been climbing on everything. His poor legs are so bruised from jumping off of things. He has started to talk a whole lot more. He says "no" so cute! His little head shake that he does with it makes me laugh almost everytime! He also was able to tell us at church that someone was hurting him. We also have these dogs that have been roaming in our yard and getting in our garbage. Nathan will look out the window and tell us when the dogs are out there. He loves dogs now! We watched a dog show on tv this weekend and he sat with me through it all, just talking about the dogs. His granny Nancy got him a dog toy that he just loves.

Katie Sue is continuing to talk so much better. She is having a hard time because Nathan has discovered biting and she is taking the bites. Katie Sue loves shoes and loves keeping them on. Granny Nancy bought her some shoes that she can put on and take off by herself. She also loves being outside and swinging in her swing.

Both Natan and Katie Sue have discovered that they like to take their diapers and clothes off. i think they are both close to being ready to work on potty training.

Neil will be 3 months next Sunday. He is really growing. He is 12 pounds and 22 1/2 inches long. He got his shots last week. He has been smiling and laughing and cooing. I put some pictures of him doing that in the last post.
